The
First Protection Envelope (FPE) consists
of two tear-off documents: a Warranty of Originality and
a personal information form. Users sign and date the bar-coded
Warranty of Originality across the perforated envelope
seal, tear it off with half of the signature and keep
it: It becomes their personal record. The remainder of
the signature and date is left on the envelope, providing
irrevocable final evidence of its origin and timing of
sealing
The
information form is completed, including a Standing
Order for annual payment of the storage fee. This
is detached and posted separately to Copyright Protection
Agency (UK) Ltd., as is the envelope which is then
stored in a high security vault operated by a subsidiary
of Pickfords.

The
user does not know the location, therefore is physically
unable to tamper with the envelope and its contents. Only
Copyright Protection Agency (UK) Ltd. knows its location
through bar-coding.
This
simple process, secures beyond doubt proof of the identity
of the creator of a piece of Intellectual Property, and
the date when it was committed to paper or electronic
media.
This process is applicable anywhere in the world regardless
of legal jurisdiction.
